Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, also known with the familiar name in folklore, is Mother Bodhisattva. In Buddhism, he is one of the bodhisattvas that appear quite a lot in the Mahayana sutras. If in the Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtra, he is seen as the Great Compassionate Father, vowing to save all sentient beings, then in the Prajnaparamitahridaya Sutra he is considered as the Great Position, fully understanding the five aggregates.
On the occasion of commemorating the day of the ordination of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen Pagoda solemnly held the Light Transmission Ceremony on the evening of October 15th, 2022 (Lunar September 20th, the Year of the Tiger)
Each lotus lantern was sequentially lit and passed on to hundreds of Buddhist followers and fellow practitioners, not only symbolizing the continuity of tradition but also illuminating the heart with compassion, joyous giving, patience, and the aspiration to practice the 12 great vows of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara - the compassionate mother of all living beings.
In the dignified, pure and sacred atmosphere, on the morning of October 16 (On September 21 of the year of tiger), more than 500 Buddhists and fellow initiates respectfully paid homage to the of five hundred names, commemorating the anniversary of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara left home.
