On the morning of October 14th (Lunar September 19th, the Year of the Tiger), Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen practitioners, Buddhists and fellows recited the Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtra in front of the open-air statue of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara.
Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, also known with the familiar name in folklore, is Mother Bodhisattva. In Buddhism, he is one of the bodhisattvas that appear quite a lot in the Mahayana sutras. If in the Saddharma Puṇḍarīka Sūtra, he is seen as the Great Compassionate Father, vowing to save all sentient beings, then in the Prajnaparamitahridaya Sutra he is considered as the Great Position, fully understanding the five aggregates.
In the midst of the squalid Saha world, witnessing sentient beings being confused and not awake. Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva, out of compassion, showed up in a timely manner, to transform the population through many different appearances and embodiments. As mentioned in the Lotus Sutra, he has 32 different incarnations. But all is just one, is one but also all, is the best that Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara brings to life.
