Celebrating Tet at Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen with a clear mind of meditation, every Buddhist disciple and fellow practitioner can feel the harmonious exchange of all things, the purification of human worldly desires, and the peacefulness in every moment. From there, they find the resting place of the soul to reach liberation, attain enlightenment, and bloom like a hundred flowers in the spring breeze. This is the season of wisdom and virtue.

The New Year meeting at the Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen Monastery on the morning of January 24th, 2023 (the 3rd day of Tet) was not just a time for the Sangha to spread joy and blessings together at the meditation hall, but above all, it was a moment when everyone could feel the boundless happiness and the warmth of the Dharma under the solemn and peaceful roof of the monastery.



In the boundless joy of the early days of the spring of the Year of the Tiger, the virtuous male and female Buddhist disciples took turns picking the first greenery of the year and praying for a new year full of auspiciousness, with the blessings of peace and security.

For Buddhists, it is not just one spring per year, but every day, every hour, until each moment of peaceful living helps others to escape suffering and brings joy to people, striving to practice and realize the path to liberation and enlightenment. That is the spring of Buddhist practitioners, regardless of the season or age.  

On the path of practice, each person understands that the Bodhisattvas have been walking on the path of enlightenment from this life to the next, entering life like walking in a spring flower garden - the garden of Realm - Dharma - Wisdom. Bodhisattvas always walk in the spring full of fragrant flowers and strange grasses in this world.

Wishing you a peaceful new year

Free and easy, without worries or troubles

As spring comes and goes, the mind is tranquil

Dharma arises and destroys habitual tendencies every year

Celebrating the Spring of Maitreya, Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen wishes that all Buddhists and fellow practitioners recognize the spring of the Bodhisattva's aspiration and vow to follow the Buddha's footsteps to enjoy the eternal spring in every moment and everywhere that the Buddha has discovered and taught to humanity. May everyone always know how to reconcile and love one another, give each other faith, and friendly smiles every day and every minute of their lives so that life is always peaceful, and the world is forever tranquil.

We wish all Buddhists a peaceful spring filled with the light of compassion and wisdom of the Buddhas. We hope that the light and smiles full of Compassion, Joy, Equanimity, Blessings, and Liberation of Maitreya Buddha will dispel the darkness of ignorance for all sentient beings so that every spring is an everlasting and eternal spring.
