During the past pandemic, the largest "epidemic" in the country, Ho Chi Minh City had to go through a period of unprecedented traumatic loss in history because of "Covid-19". Hundreds of thousands of people have to deal with the epidemic. The number of cases in turn jumped from 1 digit to 2 then 3... And from August 2021, when the delta variant caused the outbreak to be the strongest, the number of infections in Ho Chi Minh every day was always at 4 digits.

The day they left, they didn't have time to say goodbye, the day they met again, only the ashes remained, both the giver and the receiver were heartbroken

At that time, many people were obsessed and insecure when they heard the sirens sounding every day, because it was the sound of danger, loss, signaling bad things. Many people had to say goodbye to their families and get on the ambulance to be isolated for treatment. The remaining distance of Covid patients at that time was a "lonely" journey, fighting the disease alone. By the time they breathed their last, they were alone, with no loved ones by their side. That is the cruelest thing…

As for those who stayed, they were completely unaware of the news until they received a call with sad news from the medical industry and suffered until the end of the day when they received their ashes or family memorabilia. mine. Tens of thousands of families have lost their loved ones forever without being able to say goodbye, nor organize a complete funeral for their loved ones. That is the saddest thing…

Soothe the pain, pray for the soul to be born in the Pure Land 

July is the month of Vu Lan Bao Hieu, but this year's Vu Lan season, there are so many children who can't put a red flower on their chest, there are so many families who still have indelible wounds in their hearts and have Readers who come here can only shed tears. 

We have suffered so much pain after the Covid-19 pandemic, going through the peak of the epidemic, so many families have to separate from yin and yang. The pain is still deeply imprinted in the hearts of millions of people, sometimes for the rest of their lives, especially for those whose loved ones have turned to ashes. Forever in them is the torment of not being able to see their faces, send their loved ones to eternity… And because they cannot organize a full funeral with full rituals, those who stay always wonder how to do it. so that their relatives can be liberated and reborn in a peaceful realm. 
 

 

Praying for the soul of the deceased is a good thing to do, because praying can bring great benefits. Moreover, praying for supplication is also a form of reminding those who are still alive to create good karma to dedicate merit to their deceased loved ones, helping them to overcome the abyss of suffering and death by their karmic creations. planted in the past.

With the desire to neutralize and create good conditions, and at the same time contribute to sharing and alleviating the pain of families with loved ones who have died during the recent pandemic, the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Da Huoai District, Lam Dong Province will held the Great Ceremony of Vuong Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, Great Ceremony of Bodhisattva King Kṣitigarbha, the Great Ceremony of Praying for Compatriots who died during the Covid-19 pandemic, sincerely praying for the spirits to soon be reborn in the Land of Ultimate Bliss. At the same time, within the framework of the Dharma Assembly, there will be an organization of the Praying Ceremony for everyone to align their hearts and pray for all kinds of peace and good things. 

From the time when the pandemic broke out in the 4th wave, Ho Chi Minh City has been the place that has been affected and suffered the greatest loss so far, it has been one year, in folk language it is "first anniversary" or "small wall". ". The fact that the Vietnamese Buddhist Church in Da Huoai District, Lam Dong Province held the Great Requiem Ceremony, expressed the desire to alleviate some of the sadness that is still smoldering in those whose loved ones have passed away during the pandemic.

This great ceremony took place in the atmosphere of the Vu Lan season, in line with the Thong Thong spirit of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, guiding the organization of activities to show humanity, the spirit of gratitude.

The Great Ceremony of Bodhisattva King Kṣitigarbha, the Great Ceremony of Praying for Compatriots who died during the Covid-19 pandemic will take place continuously for 5 days, from August 24-28 (July 27-28-29 and August 1-2 of the Year of Tiger) at Dai Tung Lam Hoa Sen Pagoda (National Highway 20, Da M'ri town, Da Huoai district, Lam Dong province)
